Back to school sales and the emergence of Halloween stores all signal a change in our year. At St. Andrew’s it means we are coming out of summer and looking at the start of yet another Church School year.
The big kickoff will be our Round Up Sunday celebration.
We will be continuing to have Family Services on the first Sunday of each month, with Godly Play/Children’s Chapel, during the 11 o’clock service on the following Sundays for children in Pre-K to 2nd Grade.
Between services we will have our Youth Bible Study from 10:00 to 10:45 for kids in 3rd-6th Grade.
We will be holding a training for any child interested in serving as an acolyte. If interested please let me know, we will try to schedule the training so that all interested parties can attend as one.
As always, volunteers are needed and welcomed. We particularly need help with the doorperson role. Background checks for volunteers are required, but are free and easy to obtain, so if you want to help out let me know and I can walk you through that.
Staying with the topic of volunteers, I will be continuing to assist at All Saints’ in Brighton Heights on the first and last Sundays of each month, so the Godly Play reader for those last Sundays will be a crucial role to have filled. A link to Signupgenius will be coming out to cover all the volunteer slots. Early sign ups are appreciated.
