Mary Pat and I first visited Hereford on February 14, 1998. Through a series of circumstances we wandered into this cathedral city with no expectations, and we found our Second Home. We have returned many times, and indeed we cannot visit England without spending several days there. Once you have found perfection, why go elsewhere? The choir was one of the very best we'd heard in England (and that's saying a lot), and the magnificent organ is our favorite in England. We have found fast friends there in the persons of the organist, Geraint Bowen, and his wife, Lucy; the secretary of the Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust, Glyn Morgan; and the Lay Clerkes of the choir. To be hosting these friends and this choir at St. Andrew's fills our hearts. We hope that you can join us for this great event. -- Peter Luley |
