Almighty God, look graciously on the people of St. Andrew’s Church.
Be with us in this season of pastoral transition, and lead us as we seek the next rector for our church.
We ask your encouragement, direction, and guidance for those who shall choose our new spiritual leader,
that we may receive an upright and faithful pastor who will care for your people
and equip us all for the work you have given us to do.

Grant us perception, faithfulness, and joy, so that we may hear your voice in all our deliberations.
Call us deeper into prayer, and open our eyes to your faithful presence with us in Word and Sacrament.
Grant us also the desire and the ability to listen carefully to one other.
Give us wisdom to respond and to act as you lead us.
Come Holy Spirit.

We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Almighty and everliving God, ruler of all things in heaven and earth,
hear our prayers for this St. Andrew’s parish family.
Strengthen the faithful, arouse the careless, and restore the penitent.
Grant us all things necessary for our common life,
and bring us all to be of one heart and mind within your holy Church;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Gracious Father, we pray for thy holy Catholic Church,
and especially for this parish of St. Andrew’s.
Fill it with all truth, in all truth with all peace.
Where it is corrupt, purify it; where it is in error, direct it;
where in any thing it is amiss, reform it.
Where it is right, strengthen it; where it is in want, provide for it;
where it is divided, reunite it;
for the sake of Jesus Christ thy Son our Savior.  Amen.

*

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church,
and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a rector for this parish,
that we may receive a faithful pastor,
who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

We would remember in our prayers our whole congregation,
the friends we know well, and those we don’t know well,
the old and the young, the strong and the weak,
those who attend frequently, and those whom we don’t often see.
We would remember those who aren’t now a part of our church community,
but who in the past have shared their lives with us.
We would remember those who aren’t now a part of our church community,
but who will come to be a part of St. Andrew’s in future weeks and months and years.
We would remember those of our neighborhood and wider community
whom we are called to serve.  We would remember our Mission Partners
in Bolivia: Eva and Sara Mamani and "Seeds of Blessing" in Tarija,
and Rusty and Tammy Smith Firestone and La Trinidad Church in Cochabamba.
We would pray for Bruce and Susy  as they move into new roles of life and ministry.
We would pray for the priest we know God has already chosen
to be our next pastor, our next rector, and for his or her family.
We would pray for discerning, humble, loving, and obedient hearts,
giving thanks for so much that we have found meaningful
in our life at St. Andrew’s in the past, and with openness to the new directions
of life and ministry that God has in mind for us.
Praying always, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
