St. Andrew’s is a great place for our kids on Sunday mornings!

For Infants and Toddlers, a wonderful Sunday Morning Nursery Program is available upstairs in the Parish Hall, with Nursery Care available from 8:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. each Sunday (8:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. in July and August).

For Children from Age 4 – Grade 5 from 9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. each Sunday morning, September – May, we have an exceptionally popular program carefully building Christian spiritual character and knowledge through relationships and an imaginative curriculum (in the philosophical tradition of Italian educator Maria Montessori) called “Godly Play.” For more information about this curriculum, speak to Liz Buchanan, our Church School Director, and see the Godly Play website.

Children’s Chapel and Music: Our younger children are dismissed on Sunday mornings for a portion of the 11 a.m. Service. On “First Sundays” Children’s Chapel includes a time of worship and activities. On other Sundays, we have Children’s Music, a fun time of learning and singing. Several times each year our Children’s Music Chorus participates musically in the 11 a.m. service.

For Youth in the Middle School and High School years, we have a great group that gathers for study and conversation on Sunday mornings at 9:45 in the upstairs Youth Lounge—and that plans frequent events for Sundays and other times—to share a service opportunity, to see a movie, or, for example, to spend a day together on the ski slopes. Contact Deacon Jean Chess for more information.

Confirmation Classes, coordinated by the Rector and including leadership by many in the wider parish, are offered each Winter/Spring, generally for young people of Middle School age. Gatherings include discussions of Church Teachings and Traditions, and conclude with an overnight Retreat to reflect on Spiritual Life and Vocation. Contact the Rector for more information.
