Sunday Mornings, 9a: Light of the World: A Beginner’s Guide to Advent by AJ Levine. In-person in the Office Conference Room. 

Sunday mornings in Advent we will discuss Light of the World: A Beginners' Guide to Advent, by New Testament scholar Amy-Jill Levine, accompanied by short videos by the author. The group will meet on December 1, 8, 15, and 22 in the Office Conference Room.  AJ Levine is a fascinating, accessible scholar who joins her personal background as a Jewish person to her academic background as a New Testament scholar.  RSVP to Rev. Thursday Mornings, 9a: Songs for the Waiting: Devotions inspired by the Hymns of Advent, by Magrey DeVega for the season of Advent. Contact wmrun@pitt.edu for Zoom link.

The Growth in Spirit book study group will be discussing Songs for the Waiting: Devotions Inspired by the Hymns of Advent by Magrey De Vega as their Advent selection. This will include four Thursday sessions -- December 5, 12, 19 and 26 -- via Zoom at 9:00 am.  The book is structured as a daily devotional, and participants are asked to read and reflect on each day's devotion. The group will discuss Devotions #1-5 on December 5; #6-12 on December 12; #13-19 on December 19; and #20-28 on December 26.

December 14, 2-4p: Rector's Advent Party

Drop by for food, drink, fun, and fellowship with St. Andrew's Rector, Sara, and St. Paul's Rector, Noah, with their children Isaiah and Adah, and members of St. Paul’s and St. Andrew’s. All are welcome to come to this annual informal Advent gathering! Please bring gloves and knit hats to be donated to local ministries for those in need.

December 15: Christmas Pageant (10am service, live-streamed)

Hear the Christmas story anew, thanks to our Church School! Stay for cookies and community after the service. Contact beckymarinov@gmail.com if there is a young person in your life who would like to participate! Rehearsal is 12/8.

December 24: Christmas Eve Service (4pm, with children-focused sermon) & Christmas Eve Service (7pm, live-streamed, with choir & candlelight; choral prelude beginning at 6:40)

December 25: Holy Eucharist with Carols, 10am: come as you are, even if it’s in your pajamas!
