Before a word is spoken,
St. Andrew’s makes a promise —
“You are
welcome here.”
And week after week, that promise is kept. In the voices rising together in song. In the children gathering at the altar steps. In the young family finding their way for the first time, and the neighbor who has known this place for decades.
In a community this size, faith is passed through presence — through belonging to a place and a people over time.
Those who will come after us are not part of some distant future. They are already here — being formed, finding their way, and beginning to call this place home.

A place renewed through time.
1870
A new St. Andrew’s church rises downtown after flood damage, renewing our parish first established in 1837.
1906–1909
Cornerstone laid in Highland Park. The church is consecrated, establishing a lasting home.
1913–1920
The organ, rood beam, altar, and reredos are installed. The Lady Chapel is added, expanding space for prayer and devotion.
1920s–1960s
Stained glass windows are added over time, layer by layer, telling the story of faith through light.
2010s
The building is adapted for a new century, with an elevator, accessibility ramps, gathering space, and renewed interiors.
Nearly two centuries of faithfulness, and counting. Each generation received something — and each added to it.
